Why Santa won't bring me what I want for Christmas

It's not very Christmas-y here at Casa Denise. No decorations inside. No tree. No presents. A few Christmas cards and Christmas tea towels are the only signs that it's December 24th. I want the Hallmark holiday but I just don't have the energy to do anything about it. Thank goodness my mom's here to give me a reason to get out of bed because I honestly think I would just sleep through the holiday completely otherwise.

This time next year, my husband will be home; it cannot come quickly enough.
