Weekend Wrap-Up: Less food, more doing
Monday morning. We had a great time at Island Divine and TCB won a great basket of goodies from Virginia. I'm thrilled because it included the Virginia Beach Junior League cookbook, which will be mine once the basket is unpacked. (It's all about me!) Four sampler glasses of wine and various hors d'ouvres and strolling around chatting with friends...truly divine!
Yesterday, once he'd worked through a post-party migraine, TCB got to work putting together most of my new IKEA furniture and I love it! I can't wait until I get all of the old furniture donated to charity and out of here plus everything new installed and ready to go. You just cannot imagine how excited I get when I think about having a nicely coordinated house (or just the upstairs, "public" part of it)! I could have people over. I could focus that energy on - gasp! - my health instead of what my house looks like. Yes, I'll still need to get new floor coverings for the living/dining room and kitchen, plus stripping the wood panels and mirrors off of the dining room, plus stripping the wallpaper from the kitchen and bathroom, but this is a huge first step.

Its so good to read you lately. I get rays of susnshine with your attitude at times.
And IKEA rules my world too! Were thinking about getting a new bed...a smaller one than the one we have now...so there is less space between us ;)
I miss you darling...and think of you so often!
